Samsung, in partnership with Eka Care, has launched a breakthrough Health Records feature on the Samsung Health app, enabling seamless and secure management of personal health data. The feature is aligned with the Indian government’s Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) and aims to streamline health record access for both users and healthcare professionals.
Doctors can now benefit from instant, paperless access to patient medical histories, including prescriptions, lab reports, and hospital visits, all linked to ABHA (Ayushman Bharat Health Account) IDs. This ensures smoother patient consultations and better care coordination.
Users can easily create an ABHA account using Aadhaar or mobile numbers via the Samsung Health app. In ABDM-compliant hospitals, the app enables quick QR-code scans for virtual queue tokens, reducing wait times during OPD visits.
The feature is built on defense-grade Knox Security to ensure secure health record storage, empowering doctors and patients with reliable data management.
“At Eka Care, we are thrilled about this partnership with Samsung, as it will significantly accelerate the adoption of ABDM across India. This collaboration is a key step toward building a more connected and efficient healthcare ecosystem in the country,” said Deepak Tuli, Co-founder of Eka Care.
Samsung’s initiative transforms how Indians manage health records, providing tools for medication tracking, sleep monitoring and more, all in a single app. Doctors can encourage patients to utilize these latest updates to experience Eka Care’s seamless integration with Samsung Health.
