SRIKANTH KONERU, MD Srikanth Koneru is a cardiologist with a focus on advanced cardiovascular imaging, including advanced echocardiography, Cardiovascular CT/MRI, Interventional cardiology and structural heart disease. He is the Director of Structural Heart Imaging, Director of Valve clinic and Interim Director of Cardiovascular CT/MRI Imaging, Texas Heart Institute at Baylor St. Luke’s Medical center. His clinical practice encompasses evaluating patients with surgically prohibitive valvular heart disease for structural interventional procedures, who may later be eligible for percutaneous valvular replacement and other complex heart diseases. He is trained in multiple cardiovascular subspecialties including interventional cardiology in Australia, structural echocardiography and cardiovascular CT/MRI at the Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland, Ohio, which has given him the opportunity to assess these extremely complex patients. Beyond Structural heart program, his secondary clinical focus is cardiovascular pre transplant evaluation for abdominal and pulmonary organ transplant patients and have been one of the primary cardiologists evaluating these patients for Baylor transplant program. He is currently involved in multiple innovative cutting-edge research with newer devices in treating patients with valvular and ventricular disease with no surgical options. He is dedicated to education of his peers, fellows, and residents, he has contributed academically to the field of advanced heart Imaging.
