Dr. Prabhav Koti Tella
Dr. Prabhav Tella was first drawn to the pain management field because of his desire to help patients improve their function and quality of life through comprehensive management of their pain conditions. Since 2001, Dr. Tella has served as the director and owner of Interventional Pain Solutions. He is driven in his work by the ability to help and make a difference in the lives of his patients. His focus is to encourage patients to reverse the progressive physical and psychological effects pain has had on their mind and body with a goal of helping them achieve better function along with pain relief. He completed a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree at Andhra Medical College, NTR University of Health Sciences in Visakhapatnam, India. After earning a Master of Public Health degree from Johns Hopkins University in Maryland, he stayed for three years to serve as a research associate in the Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine. A residency in internal medicine followed at Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA. He then concluded an interventional pain management fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School in Boston, MA. He served as an assistant professor in the Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Management at the University of Texas South Western Medical Center for four years before his position at Interventional Pain Solutions. Technology in the pain management field continues to advance and he is excited about the MILD procedure and other new nonsurgical, minimally invasive pain treatment options. Outside of work, Dr. Tella enjoys volunteering to help terminally ill children. He also likes music and spending time with family.
